Bridging the Skills Gap with Digital Innovation

Realizing the need for easily accessible training solutions in today's fast-paced, technology-driven market, the client wanted to transform conventional and siloed approaches to education with a digital-first learning ecosystem that quickly upskills learners for the evolving job market. The company aimed to minimize the global skills gap by enabling faster rollout of high-impact programs like Ready to Hire (RTH) and ed2go to empower learners with high-quality, affordable education. By accelerating time to market, the company could meet learner demands more quickly while creating a robust talent pipeline for employers.

Overcoming Legacy Constraints to Enable Speed and Innovation

The edtech major faced several challenges in managing numerous data streams and integrating multiple disparate systems. This led to inefficient processes, prolonged payment processing times, and legacy integration issues that hampered growth and innovation. Decision-making and user satisfaction were being impacted by growing operational inefficiencies brought on by an antiquated approach to QA and testing. Moreover, issues with Salesforce process migrations and Snowflake data management made it difficult to achieve smooth, real-time analytics and optimal operational performance. On the other hand, managing ed2go’s vast network of 900+ courses, 2,100+ partners, and millions of learners required an efficient, scalable, and seamless data flow between multiple systems. The client needed a comprehensive solution that would allow them to easily integrate multiple platforms, automate processes, and optimize data flows so that they could minimize the skills gap and reduce manual intervention.

Implementing a Comprehensive Digital Platform to Enhance Learning Experience

Success in transforming the client’s learning ecosystem came from a deeply collaborative partnership between Xebia and their internal teams. Xebia helped the company execute strategic decisions to redesign its learning ecosystem with innovative solutions. We reimagined the RTH program as a multi-tenant, white-label solution that streamlined skills-based training and connected employers with a qualified talent pipeline. At the same time, we enhanced the ed2go platform with better LMS integrations, faster payment processing, and real-time analytics driven by Tableau, Boomi, and Salesforce. Secure access was ensured by Okta SSO. Our team also automated QA processes with SAP regression tests, API validations, and performance testing via JMeter and TestSigma, while overhauling data management by building a centralized reporting layer in Snowflake and migrating critical Salesforce automations.

This seamless collaboration enabled faster time to market, improved user experience, and laid the foundation for future innovation in digital learning. The client is now able to provide transformative education at scale, thanks to these integrated solutions, which have reduced costs, increased data accuracy, and improved the user experience overall.
